Bismillahirrahmanirrahim..
عَنْ أَبِيْ هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ رَجُلًا قَالَ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : أَوْصِنِيْ ، قَالَ : (( لَا تَغْضَبْ )). فَرَدَّدَ مِرَارًا ؛ قَالَ : (( لَا تَغْضَبْ )). رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ
Dari Abu Hurairah Radhiyallahu anhu bahwa ada seorang laki-laki berkata kepada Nabi Shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam : “Berilah aku wasiat”. Beliau menjawab, “Engkau jangan marah!” Orang itu mengulangi permintaannya berulang-ulang, kemudian Nabi Shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam bersabda: “Engkau jangan marah!” [HR al-Bukhâri].
Marah ialah bergejolaknya darah dalam hati untuk menolak gangguan yang dikhawatirkan terjadi atau karena ingin balas dendam kepada orang yang menimpakan gangguan yang terjadi padanya. Bukan hanya itu, sifat marah juga merupakan bara api yang dikobarkan oleh setan dalam hati manusia untuk merusak agama dan diri mereka, karena dengan kemarahan seseorang bisa menjadi gelap mata sehingga dia bisa melakukan tindakan atau mengucapkan perkataan yang berakibat buruk bagi diri dan agamanya.
Oleh karena itu, bagi hamba-hamba Allah Ta’ala yang bertakwa meskipun mereka tidak luput dari sifat marah, tetapi kerena mereka selalu berusaha melawan keinginan hawa nafsunya, maka mereka pun selalu mampu meredam kemarahan mereka karena Allah Ta’ala.
Allaah Ta’ala memuji mereka dengan sifat ini dalam firman-Nya,
{الَّذِينَ يُنْفِقُونَ فِي السَّرَّاءِ وَالضَّرَّاءِ وَالْكَاظِمِينَ الْغَيْظَ وَالْعَافِينَ عَنِ النَّاسِ وَاللَّهُ يُحِبُّ الْمُحْسِنِينَ}
“Orang-orang yang bertakwa adalah mereka yang menafkahkan (harta mereka) baik di waktu lapang maupun sempit, dan orang-orang yang menahan amarahnya serta memaafkan (kesalahan) orang lain. Allah menyukai orang-orang yang berbuat kebajikan” (QS Ali ‘Imran:134).
Dan Rasulullah bersabda:
“Bukanlah orang kuat (yang sebenarnya) dengan (selalu mengalahkan lawannya dalam) pergulatan (perkelahian), tetapi tidak lain orang kuat (yang sebenarnya) adalah yang mampu mengendalikan dirinya ketika marah.”
(Muttafaqun ‘alaih)
Imam al-Munawi berkata,
Makna hadits in adalah “orang kuat (yang sebenarnya) adalah orang yang (mampu) menahan emosinya ketika kemarahannya sedang bergejolak dan dia (mampu) melawan dan menundukkan nafsunya (ketika itu). Maka, Rasulullah shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam dalam hadits ini membawa makna kekuatan yang lahir kepada kekuatan batin. Dan barangsiapa yang mampu mengendalikan dirinya ketika itu maka sungguh dia telah (mampu) mengalahkan musuhnya yang paling kuat dan paling berbahaya (hawa nafsunya).”
Inilah makna kekuatan yang dicintai oleh Allah Ta’ala yang disebutkan dalam sabda Rasulullah shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam, “Orang mukmin yang kuat lebih baik dan lebih dicintai oleh Allah daripada orang mukmin yang lemah.
Lantas, bagaimanakah cara mengatasi amarah menurt Rasulullah?
حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْجَهْضَمِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ سَمِعْتُ الْأَعْمَشَ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ عَدِيَّ بْنَ ثَابِتٍ يَقُولُ حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ صُرَدٍ قَالَ اسْتَبَّ رَجُلَانِ عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَجَعَلَ أَحَدُهُمَا يَغْضَبُ وَيَحْمَرُّ وَجْهُهُ فَنَظَرَ إِلَيْهِ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ إِنِّي لَأَعْلَمُ كَلِمَةً لَوْ قَالَهَا لَذَهَبَ ذَا عَنْهُ أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ مِنْ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ فَقَامَ إِلَى الرَّجُلِ رَجُلٌ مِمَّنْ سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ أَتَدْرِي مَا قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ آنِفًا قَالَ إِنِّي لَأَعْلَمُ كَلِمَةً لَوْ قَالَهَا لَذَهَبَ ذَا عَنْهُ أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ مِنْ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ فَقَالَ لَهُ الرَّجُلُ أَمَجْنُونًا تَرَانِي و حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ غِيَاثٍ عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ
Sungguh aku mengetahui satu kalimat yg seandainya diucapkan, maka marahnya akan hilang. Audzu billahi minasy-syaithaainir rajiim (Aku berlindung kepada Allah dari godaan syetan yg terkutuk).’ Setelah itu, orang yg marah itu didekati oleh seseorang yg telah mendengar ucapan Rasulullah & ia berkata kepadanya; ‘Mengertikah kamu apa yg telah diucapkan Rasulullah tadi?
Sesungguhnya Rasulullah telah bersabda:
‘Sungguh aku mengetahui satu kalimat yg seandainya diucapkan, maka nafsu amarahnya akan hilang. Aku berlindung kepada Allah dari godaan syetan yg terkutuk.’ Orang laki-laki yg marah tersebut berkata; ‘Apakah kamu menganggap saya sudah gila?
‘ Dan telah menceritakan kepada kami Abu Bakr bin Abu Syaibah; Telah menceritakan kepada kami Hafsh bin Ghiyats dari Al A’masy melalui jalur ini.

Semoga Allaah Ta’ala senantiasa menjauhkan kita dari sifat marah.
