Dalam hadist tersebut dipaparkan bahwa Nabi menginstruksikan agar menggunakan daun bidara sebagai alat untuk memandikan jenazah sebelum nantinya dibasuh dengan air.
Selain berguna untuk memandikan jenazah, daun bidara ternyata juga memiliki khasiat yang turun temurun, diceritakan pada zaman dahulu kala daun bidara digunakan untuk membersihkan darah bekas haid. Tak berhenti sampai disitu, daun bidara yang ternyata sangat berkhasiat sebagai obat atau jamu, juga bisa digunakan sebagai bahan makanan atau minuman yang tentunya sangat menyehatkan. Salah satu contohnya adalah di Indonesia, daun bidara banyak digunakan sebagai sayuran, hal ini tentunya menggunakan daun bidara yang masih muda, selain daun buah dan daun bidara tua juga masih bisa dimanfaatkan sebagai pakan ternak.
