Bahaya Jimat dan Rajah Sekalipun Menggunakan Huruf Arab Seperti Ayat Quran

“Sesungguhnya Allah tidak akan mengampuni dosa syirik, dan Dia mengampuni segala dosa yang selain dari (syirik) itu, bagi siapa yang dikehendaki-Nya.” (QS An Nisa: 48)

Pernahkah mendapat kertas atau media lainnya yang bertuliskan huruf Arab gundul, dinyatakan sebagai sesuatu yang memiliki ‘kesaktian’ misalnya mengobati penyakit, menangkal jin, dan lain-lainnya? Kita perlu teliti benar, carilah apakah Rasulullah pernah mencontohkan hal tersebut? Jika tidak, maka jangan dilakukan!

Nabi shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam pernah melihat di lengan seorang pria gelang yang dinampakkan padanya. Pria tersebut berkata bahwa gelang itu terbuat dari kuningan. Lalu beliau berkata, “Untuk apa engkau memakainya?” Pria tadi menjawab, “(Ini dipasang untuk mencegah dari) wahinah (penyakit yang ada di lengan atas). Nabi shallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam lantas bersabda, “Gelang tadi malah membuatmu semakin lemah. Buanglah! Seandainya engkau mati dalam keadaan masih mengenakan gelang tersebut, engkau tidak akan beruntung selamanya.” (HR. Ahmad 4: 445 dan Ibnu Majah no. 3531).

Dari hadits di atas kita bisa mengetahui bahwa jimat berupa apapun sebaiknya tidak kita kenakan apapun alasannya. Mintalah hanya pada Allah dan jalankan hanya yang sesuai dengan sunah Rasulullah. Jika ingin mengobati penyakit dari penyebab yang ghaib, maka cobalah gunakan ruqyah dan daun bidara, tak perlu mempercayai jimat atau rajah.

“Barangsiapa yang menggantungkan (hati) pada tamimah (jimat), maka Allah tidak akan menyelesaikan urusannya. Barangsiapa yang menggantungkan (hati) pada kerang (untuk mencegah dari ‘ain, yaitu mata hasad atau iri, pen), maka Allah tidak akan memberikan kepadanya jaminan” (HR. Ahmad 4: 154. Syaikh Syu’aib Al Arnauth mengatakan bahwa hadits ini hasan –dilihat dari jalur lain-).

Hal terburuk, siapapun yang memiliki jimat, atau mempercayai jimat, baik berupa kalung, gelang, tasbih, keris, atau apapun, maka ia telah menyekutukan Allah. “Barangsiapa yang menggantungkan tamimah (jimat), maka ia telah berbuat syirik” (HR. Ahmad 4: 156. Syaikh Syu’aib Al Arnauth mengatakan bahwa sanad hadits ini qowiy atau kuat. Syaikh Al Albani mengatakan bahwa hadits ini shahih sebagaimana dalam As Silsilah Ash Shohihah no. 492).
