RASULULLAH SHALALLAHU ALAIHI WASALLAM BERSABDA :

الأرواحُ جنودٌ مجنَّدةٌ . فما تعارف منها ائتَلَف . وما تناكَر منها اختلف

“Ruh-ruh itu bagaikan pasukan yang dihimpun dalam kesatuan. Jika saling mengenal di antara mereka maka akan bersatu. Dan yang saling merasa asing di antara mereka maka akan berpisah.” (HR. Muslim 6376)

AL-KHOTHTHOBI RAHIMAHULLAH BERKATA :

على معنى التشاكل في الخير والشر والصلاح والفساد، وأن الخير من الناس يحن إلى شكله والشرير نظير ذلك يميل إلى نظيره، فتعارف الأرواح يقع بحسب الطباع التي جُبلت عليها من خير وشر، فإذا اتفقت تعارفت، وإذا اختلفت تناكرت

“Bisa jadi bermakna isyarat atas kesamaan dalam hal kebaikan dan kejelekan serta perbaikan dan kerusakan. dan bahwasanya manusia yang baik akan rindu kepada jenisnya (yang baik pula), sedangkan yang jelek dan semisal itu maka akan condong kepada yang sejenisnya pula. Para ruh akan saling mengenal, sehingga akan hinggap sesuai dengan tabiat yang telah diciptakan di atasnya dari kebaikannya maupun kejelekannya, maka apabila telah cocok maka akan saling mengenal, dan apabila berbeda maka akan saling mengingkari.” (nukilan Al-Fath, juz 3, Halaman 199)

“Sesungguhnya kami, demi Allah belum pernah melihat seseorang menjadikan teman buat dirinya kecuali yang memang menyerupai dia maka bertemanlah dengan orang-orang yang shalih dari hamba-hamba Allah agar kamu digolongkan dengan mereka atau menjadi seperti mereka.” (Al Ibanah 2/477 nomor 500)

Abu Darda menulis  pada Maslamah bin Makhlak, yang saat itu jadi pemimpin di Mesir, “Seorang hamba kalau taat pada Allah, maka Allah akan mencintainya, Allah menjadikan orang tersebut dicintai oleh hamba-hamba yang lain. Jika hamba melakukan maksiat pada Allah, maka Allah akan murka padanya dan jika Allah benci pada hamba, maka Allah juga jadikan hamba lain benci pada orang tersebut.
